The L&DA Knowledge Assessment Tool, KAT®, measures knowledge as a key component of competence across the Water Industry through secure online assessments.

KAT® supports Training Needs Analysis (TNA), learning interventions and stand-alone assessment. Its reporting provides clear insight for HR professionals, senior managers and operational teams, helping to support workforce development and strengthen workplace competency.

Overview of the Knowledge Assessment Tool – Water Industry

• L&DA has developed comprehensive question banks using its network of knowledgeable, highly experienced and skilled Water Industry associates. Questions have been developed by experts with extensive knowledge, understanding and experience across the Water Industry.
• L&DA works with each client to structure and contextualise question sets, ensuring assessments meet their operational requirements.
• KAT ® assessments can be used in a variety of ways. Clients have used them before and after training to give an indication of the impact of training or as a standalone Training Needs Analysis (TNA) tool.
• KAT ® assessments are deployed as a means of internal assessment for our training delivery to ensure that learning outcomes are being met.
• KAT ® is a flexible assessment tool that can be accessed virtually or within a face-to-face training environment.
• KAT ® assessments are invigilated by a qualified member of the L&DA team to ensure a professional and fair testing environment.
• If the client chooses remote assessment, L&DA will administer the session via Microsoft Teams and Criterium, a bespoke assessment platform.
• L&DA provides support to candidates in advance of, and throughout, the assessment.
• Online assessments typically take 30–50 minutes.
• Reporting and analysis are available promptly, with report parameters and audiences determined by the client.
