L&DA are pleased to announce the addition of the new Level 3 Award in Understanding Water Production, added to our suite of offerings in May 2024.

This new National qualification is designed for Water Production Technicians and Operators, to develop technical skills and understanding of water production to improve performance and will encourage a thorough understanding of the water production process to foster business improvement.

The 5-day course covers understanding of:

• Regulatory Framework in which the Water Industry operates and the Company’s duty to comply
• Principles and best practice operation of water treatment
• The impact of changes in raw water quality on the operation of water treatment processes
• The need for the Water Industry to become more resilient, with particular reference to Climate Change
• Actions required for the prevention of operational incidents on water treatment works
