L&DA are pleased to announce the addition of the new Level 3 Award in Understanding Wastewater Treatment, added to our suite of offerings in May 2024.

This new National qualification is designed for Wastewater Treatment Technicians and Operators, to develop technical skills and understanding of wastewater treatment to improve performance and will encourage a thorough understanding of the wastewater treatment process to foster business improvement.

The 5-day course covers understanding of:

• Regulatory Framework in the Water Industry and the Water Companies’ duty to comply
• Principles of and best practice operation of successful wastewater treatment
• Understanding of the impact of the sewerage network
• Understanding of the need to become more resilient, with particular reference to Climate Change
• Understanding of the actions required for the reduction of pollution incidents
