The Pro-Qual Level 5 Award in Management of Wastewater Networks in the Water and Environmental Industries is aimed at learners who wish to demonstrate their knowledge and understanding of the design, construction and operation of Wastewater Network infrastructure, assets and services.

With the commencement of a new AMP period, OFWAT have requested a ‘Step change in investment – and Performance’. This particularly involves improving our environment where the final determination has allocated E24 Billion of investment across England and Wales. Much of this money will be involved reducing spills from storm overflows from our Wastewater Network.

Whilst there will a great deal of capital investment in engineering schemes, this also means more innovation in our day-to-day management of over 500,000 kilometres of sewers in the UK. The public expectation is that Water Companies and their supply chain partners are seen to be experts in this area of operations, this requires skills and knowledge and competencies in the complexity of managing these critical but aging assets.

The course and qualification provides learners with an in-depth understanding of current design, construction and operational methods for new Wastewater Network assets including an overview of current Water Treatment and Wastewater disposal processes.
