Daniel King

A financial specialist covering a variety of industries with over 20 years’ experience. This includes costing and budgeting analysis, financial forecasting, auditing, preparation of financial statements, preparation of management accounts and discussions with clients.
Daniel also has an extensive background in taxation including VAT, Payroll, Personal Tax and Corporation Tax.
Denise Riddell
IQA Director
Denise has over 35 years’ experience working within the Water Industry, both in operational and support functions and fully understands the unique pressures and issues that affect the industry. She has held various roles including learning and development, contract management and customer services. She has worked to deliver a variety of initiatives, including a range of learning and development programmes, efficient customer services processes and procedures, effective management of a range of contracts and the implementation of new billing and work management systems. Most recently, Denise has been at the centre of designing and delivering customer service and energy and carbon training for our clients. She holds teaching and assessor qualifications.
Richard Mort

Richard has with more than 25 years of financial, commercial and operational management experience in the water, waste, power and renewable energy sectors. He has held a number of positions within these sectors and has been engaged on utility sector projects in a variety of geographical locations.
Richard has a range of industry experience which enables him to analyse and determine the preferred approach in undertaking training roles in different environments and sectors
He is currently the Business Manager for Learning & Development Associates Ltd.
Keith Edwards

Business Development Manager
Keith is a Graduate of London’s Kingston University and is a Chartered Civil Engineer, Water and Environmental Manager and Environmentalist. Keith is a life-long Water Industry Practitioner, with extensive competency development and training experience. He has 51 years’ in the water industry with more than 35 years’ experience as an Engineer and Manager for two large UK Water Companies.
Keith has held many senior management roles dealing with Water Distribution and Treatment, Sewage Treatment and Sewerage Collection Networks. Keith is a qualified Teacher and an Assessor and for the last 15 years he has focused on training and the development of competency within the operational workforce. He is currently a Learning and Development Specialist, delivering training and advice to students at all levels within the industry.
Michelle Hyde
IQA Coordinator
Michelle has a strong administration background, having worked in the professional sector for over 30 years in a wide variety of roles, including Consulting Engineers, Utility Companies and Customer Service Roles.With a keen interest in training and education, Michelle has been a School Governor for over 10 years in both Primary and Secondary education, recently receiving a long service award. Michelle works closely with and supports the IQA Director to assist in overseeing the Quality and Operational aspects of the L&DA business and its wider team of Water Industry professionals.
Michelle has day-to-day oversight of all L&&DA client activities and has built detailed knowledge of the L&DA portfolio, recently supporting the launches of the Level 5 Risk & Resilience, Adaptation to Climate Change and Leading innovation interventions.
Kate Williams
IQA Assistant
BSc, PGCE
Kate has a BSc (hons) in Biology and Psychology and Post Graduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) with Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in Secondary Science (Physics and Biology). During her full time 30-year teaching career, she was a (science) teacher and head of department in schools and colleges with a focus on teaching A level Biology and Psychology before moving into senior leadership in Further Education in a large Greater Manchester college. As a senior leader her particular focus was curriculum line management, quality assurance, and improvement, including transformational change following merger. She was the senior lead for Information & Learning Technology, study programmes, enrolment and effective and efficient staff deployment. Her line management experiences include college-based study programmes, HE programmes, apprenticeships and adult provision. She led and managed examination departments and worked closely with management information systems teams on reporting and analysis. She also worked as an Ofsted Inspector
Kate works within the quality assurance team supporting the IQA Director and Co-ordinator. Her key focusses are the management and analysis of learner progress and reporting to clients, L&DA’s the quality assurance policies and processes, liaising with the awarding body regarding learner certification and she is part of the KAT team.
Tim Radford

Tim is a Professional Member of the British Computer Society and a qualified maths teacher with a PGCE in Maths and Combined Science. He also has a BSc in Physics with Astrophysics, an MSc in Computing and a second MSc in Space Science.
With over 40 years of experience in software development and IT consultancy, Tim has a proven track record in creating robust, bespoke software solutions across diverse industries, including packaging, healthcare, and ground-breaking sign-making systems. His clients range from small businesses to local authorities. His expertise spans multiple programming languages across many operating systems, with solutions developed from the ground up to meet specific industry needs.
As well as providing support to the consultants and associates, Tim has developed IT solutions for many of the processes within L&DA, including implementing the KAT testing system, reporting and analysis, the L&DA website, and researching and developing the post-course survey regime.
